How is pool mastic priced in Alpine?
We price by the foot rather than one flat rate, because a small courtyard pool and a long resort deck are not the same job. Up to 80 feet is a flat $1,280, then $16 a foot, stepping down to $15 a foot past 125 feet and $14 a foot past 200. Most Alpine pools land in the $1,280 to $2,200 range.
Is the work warrantied?
Two full years, product and labour, on a certificate with your name and address on it. The only condition is that we get reasonable access to inspect and put right anything that needs it. Denying access is the one thing that voids it.
How long does the job take in Alpine?
Nearly every Alpine job is in and out the same day. We start first thing, and most pools are finished by early afternoon. The one thing you cannot rush is the 48 hour cure, so plan a weekend without swimming.
How often does pool mastic need replacing around Alpine?
Budget for five to seven years, and expect the shorter figure in Alpine given decomposed granite soils that move with every wet season. The two things worth checking each spring are whether the sealant still compresses under a thumbnail, and whether it has pulled away from the coping anywhere along the run.
Can you just patch the bad section instead of the whole joint?
No. Patching is why so many joints get replaced twice. New sealant needs clean concrete on both faces to bond to, and if it is sitting on degraded old material it inherits that material's remaining life, which is usually close to zero. Full removal is the only version we offer.
