Pool Mastic and Caulking Replacement for Schools
Campus pool decks carry more barefoot traffic in a week than a backyard pool sees in a year, and they carry it in organised lines of children. A failed expansion joint on that deck is a safety item, not a maintenance item.

Who It Is For
The properties we do this on.
District aquatics centers
Competition pools with large surrounding decks and long joint runs. Usually the biggest single job on a campus.
High school pools
Swim, water polo and PE use, which means the deck is in use most of the day during term.
Private and independent schools
Often older facilities with original decks and joints that have been patched several times.
Colleges and universities
Larger facilities, formal procurement, and scheduling that has to work around summer programs as well as term.
Why It Matters Here
What a failed joint actually costs you.
Barefoot trip hazard at scale
A lip or open channel in a pool deck joint is the classic trip hazard, and on a campus deck it is in the path of children moving in groups, wet, and often at speed. This is the reason most districts treat it as remediation.
ADA adjacent path of travel
Pool decks form part of the accessible route to the water. A deteriorated joint across that route is a surface defect on a path of travel, which is a different compliance conversation than general maintenance.
Deck structure protection
District aquatics decks are large, expensive slabs. Water intrusion through a failed joint undermines them the same way it does a residential deck, just across a much bigger and much more expensive area.
Documented and deferred
Once a cracked deck joint is in a facilities condition assessment it is documented. Clearing it in one day during a break is the cheapest resolution available.
Scope
What a project includes.
- Background checked crews, documentation provided to the district before mobilisation
- Work scheduled during breaks, summer, or off hours to avoid instructional time
- Fixed bid in linear feet suitable for district procurement and purchase order
- CSLB license, W9, COI and any prevailing wage documentation your district requires
- Complete removal and replacement across the full deck perimeter
- 2 year written warranty on product and labour issued to the district

On Campus Aquatics
What this looks like on a campus pool.
Campus decks see bare feet all day and the work has to land inside a break. One crew, one day, and the paperwork your procurement office needs.

Questions
Schools and Districts, answered.
Are your crews background checked?
Yes, and we provide the documentation to the district or facilities office before the crew arrives on campus. Tell us your district's specific requirement at bid stage and we will meet it.
Can you work during breaks or off hours?
Yes, and it is how most of our school work runs. Summer, winter break and spring break are the usual windows, with the 48 hour cure falling inside the closure so the pool is ready when students return.
Is the work prevailing wage?
Public school district work in California typically is. Tell us at bid stage and we will bid it as prevailing wage with the certified payroll documentation your district requires.
How does this work with district procurement?
We provide a fixed bid in linear feet against a purchase order, with W9, CSLB license and COI supplied up front for the vendor file. If you need us to respond to a formal RFP, send it over and we will.
Our deck is large. Is this still a one day job?
A competition deck with a long perimeter can run to two days. We will tell you which it is at quote stage rather than after we arrive, and the 48 hour cure is the same either way.
