What actually shortens joint life in Eastvale.
The soils out here matter as much as the weather. Expansive clay swells when it is wet and shrinks hard when it dries, and a pool deck sitting on it moves with it. That is movement the joint has to absorb on top of everything the sun is already doing to the slab. When the joint stops absorbing it, the slab starts cracking instead, and that repair is an order of magnitude more expensive. Across Eastvale the pattern is consistent enough that we can usually tell from one photo how long a joint has left. The decks around The Enclave, Riverbend, Sandalwood and Providence Ranch are no different, and neither is the fix: the whole bead out, wall to wall, and a new one that can actually move.
